ARBOUR PARK

Public BBQ

Arbour Park delivers a refreshingly low-key alternative to the Sunshine Coast's busier playgrounds, where families can actually find parking without circling like vultures. The wooden playground equipment centres around generous slides and a flying fox that keeps the under-seven crowd thoroughly entertained, while older siblings aren't completely abandoned thanks to varied climbing structures. The standout feature is the exceptionally well-shaded sandpit complete with toy diggers – a masterstroke for Australian conditions where children can actually play without spontaneous combustion. The undercover BBQ area comes equipped with lighting, making those inevitable late-afternoon gatherings feasible, though picnic spots remain somewhat limited for larger groups. Practical amenities include drinking fountains with thoughtfully designed dog bowls, and the large open field provides ample space for ball games.
